Bexley Seabury Seminary is a diverse and welcoming Episcopal community for learning and discipleship. We offer multiple study programs—for lay and ordained leaders and seekers—who want to deepen their faith and be more actively engaged in congregational and community life.

Challenging coursework for entrepreneurial leaders:
- ACCESSIBLE: Courses meet on campus, online, and in students’ local ministry settings.
- NON-RESIDENTIAL. For in-person courses, on-campus sessions meet two weekends per semester (fall and spring, or less), or for one week in January and June.
- CONTEXTUAL: We help you link what you learn to what is happening in the world, in the church, and in your local ministry setting.
For lay & ordained students, for credit or enrichment:
Diploma in Anglican Studies
Deepen your understanding of Anglican theology, ethics, spirituality, and liturgy while learning disciplines needed to lead today’s church. Open to lay, leaders, clergy, and those preparing for ordination. Financial aid available.
Master of Divinity
Our non-residential program combines online and on-campus coursework with an internship (minimum two years) at a participating field site—a congregation, chaplaincy, or other ministry setting. Financial aid available.
Doctor of Ministry
Choose from concentrations in Congregational Development or Preaching, both of which integrate theory with practice. For core courses, participants learn as a cohort, forming significant bonds that continue through the writing of the thesis.
Pathways for Baptismal Living
As part of Bexley Seabury’s seminary-beyond-walls philosophy, we’ve launched Pathways to educate, form, and catalyze the Body of Christ to blaze new pathways for prophetic and pastoral service in response to God’s call.
While there is a logic and sequence to the courses and programs available, our courses, workshops, events, and activities are designed so you can choose the combination and order that best suit your interests and needs.
