The Incarnational Paul in (Two) Acts: From Motorcycle Gang to Martyr

The Apostle Paul is one of the most significant figures in the history of the Christian Church. He is arguably one of the more mischaracterized figures as well. Through the use of the homiletical method of liturgical drama, this thesis suggests that that Paul can be brought to life by means of incarnational presentation. The longstanding tradition of dramatic scripture presentation, with historical roots dating back through the Middle Ages, offers an approach for creating a three-dimensional Paul. Further, by contemporizing Paul and placing him in the twenty-first century, this very important early Christian is renewed and accessible. Many will get to meet Paul again for the first time.
