Bexley Seabury Seminary is now hiring a Director of Institutional Advancement

Are you interested in joining an innovative and collaborative team of leaders who are passionate about theological education and formation? Do you want to take part in advancing the mission and vision of a seminary that’s doing exciting and transformative work? If you or someone you know gets excited about the strategies of fundraising, communications, and alumni relations, please read on.

Bexley Seabury Seminary is hiring our new Director of Institutional Advancement (DIA). This new team member will be responsible for managing three major areas of seminary operations: Development, Communications, and Recruitment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in religious fundraising, is experienced in building alumni relations, can develop and manage a strategic communications/marketing plan, and will collaboratively inform the recruitment efforts for our degree and non-degree course offerings.

You could be the perfect candidate if you’re a professional fundraiser and/or communicator who is highly relational, strategic, hopeful, and unafraid to invite people to generously support our mission and vision. If you have experience managing teams and a gregarious, results-based attitude, you might be right for us. If you’re looking to join a team of playful yet professional and hard-working colleagues, we might be right for you.

You don’t even have to live in the Chicago area; we do much of our work remotely/distributively.

Additional Information: The position includes occasional evening and/or weekend work with some travel; BSSF offers a comprehensive package including a competitive salary and benefits.
