Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Resolution

A reaffirmation by the Board of Directors, May 2025

Be it resolved that: 

1. 
   Bexley Hall Seabury Western Theological Seminary Federation (or Bexley Seabury Seminary) affirms its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and solidarity with minority and marginalized populations; and be it further resolved that

   The members of Bexley Seabury Seminary regard this commitment as a necessary and inalienable consequence of their Religious Identity, Baptismal Vows, and Vocation as Members of the Body of Christ Jesus our Lord; and be it further resolved that

   The Bexley Seabury Seminary regards any Federal orders or policies that call for the abandonment of this commitment as a violation of the free exercise of our religion as protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America; and be it further resolved that

   Bexley Seabury Seminary shall not comply with Federal orders or policies that require that our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion be abandoned.
