The Rt. Rev. Thomas Breidenthal, bishop of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, chairs the Episcopal House of Bishops Theology Committee. He serves on the boards of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Forward Movement, and Kenyon College.  He is also a trustee for the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.  Breidenthal received a bachelor’s degree from Portland State University, a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, and a master of divinity degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, Calif. He earned a doctorate in theology from Oxford University.  Prior to his election as bishop of Southern Ohio, he was dean of the chapel at Princeton University, and professor of Christian Ethics at the General Theology Seminary in New York.
