ON CAMPUS…Lapp Learning Commons

As students enrolled in the Association of Chicago Theological Schools, our students have access to the Lapp Learning Commons, a collection of more than 45,000 volumes that is strong in classical theological subject areas and offers substantial resources in African-American religion and spirituality, women’s studies, gay and lesbian studies, and Jewish-Christian studies.

In addition, our students and alums enjoy access to all other ACTS member school libraries.

The Styberg Library

The United Library, now known as the Styberg Library, was established in 1981 by the merger of two collections, those of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. The combined collection is owned by Garrett. The Styberg Library shares a common catalog with Northwestern University Library and is home to several collections of antique and rare items as well as a circulating collection, class reserves, and reference services for students, faculty and researchers.

Visit the Styberg Library’s website.

Bexley Seabury students and alumni/alumnae are eligible for free Styberg Library cards and for access to the ATLAS online serials database. To receive a user ID and password for ATLAS, please contact Susan Quigley. To get a Styberg Library card, please visit the library Monday-Thursday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm or Friday from 8:30 am-1 pm.
