Anna Sutterisch was a member of the inaugural cohort of low-residency students at Bexley Seabury Seminary and graduated in 2019. She now works as Canon for Christian Formation in the Diocese of Ohio, which includes ministry with children, youth, young adults and the new camp and retreat center, Bellwether Farm. Anna is particularly passionate about new expressions and communities of church which are creative, relevant, and entrepreneurial. Prior to attending seminary, Anna was the Administrative Organizer for Greater Cleveland Congregations, an interfaith social justice coalition which is part of the Industrial Areas Foundation. During her leadership, GCC’s budget more than tripled, in part due to her excellence in communications and marketing, initiating an annual individual donor campaign, grant writing, and establishing an endowment. Anna has a B.A. in English and a B.M. in Viola Performance and has served on the board of the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra as treasurer. She currently serves on the board of Earth and Air String Orchestra. Anna lives in Cleveland with her husband, Noah (a Bexley Seabury student) and two cats, Thecla and Phoebe.
